It's Now or Never

I guess there's no better time to start blogging than the present, right? I have been torn between starting this blog now or waiting until I felt more motivated. So here I am - 8 months pregnant with baby number 3 on the way, in 90 degree weather, feeling like I'm ready to pop - starting my blog. I'm not really sure if I thought I'd be more motivated once this baby was here, but I'm pretty sure that is NOT the case.

My house is a balmy 80 degrees right now and normally I'd be enjoying this unseasonably warm night in New England. It's a little too early to put the air conditioners in, but since we're trying to take small steps towards going green, we may not put them in at all. Does anyone have any suggestions on keeping houses cool without the use of air conditioners? And are air conditioners really that bad? I've read mixed reviews and I'd like to know if the good outweighs the bad. What do all of the other eco-conscious folks do?
